CPA Dr. Mwenda Geoffrey Justus is an accomplished accounting and finance professional with over 20 years of experience in financial management, grant administration, budgeting, and institutional reporting. He currently serves as a Grant Manager under the HERI Africa program, where he coordinates grant planning, financial oversight, compliance management, and donor reporting for research and capacity- building initiatives.
He possesses extensive experience in managing donor-funded projects, including budgeting, financial accountability, procurement coordination, audit preparation, and monitoring of project expenditures to ensure compliance with institutional and donor regulations. His expertise also includes proposal development support, financial analysis, risk management, and preparation of management reports for decision-making.
As a professional committed to excellence, Mwenda Geoffrey Justus has actively participated in various professional trainings and seminars organized by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and other professional bodies, enhancing his competence in public finance management, research grant administration, sustainability, and innovation in accounting practice. He is passionate about promoting transparency, accountability, and effective utilization of research funds to support impactful academic and community transformation initiatives.
